Most of us love to put out our beautiful nativity scenes at Christmas time but with a crawler/walker, a curious toddler and a rough houser, it's just not safe! But this year I have a Nativity Scene that can be chewed on, slobbered on, and even thrown because it's all plastic and rubber. If you do not own this Little People Deluxe Nativity Set, ORDER IT NOW from Fisher Price online. It is wonderful! And I must say that this has allowed me to explain Christmas to my almost five year old in the most incredible way. The only problem I have had so far is a fight between the almost three year old and almost five year old over one of the figurines. Did they fight over the donkey? No. Did they fight over that adorable camel? NO! Leave it to my kids to fight over BABY JESUS! I almost peed my pants when I heard Ava Beth say, "IT'S MY BABY JESUS, SIAH!" Then Josiah began making donkey noises in her face as he grabbed the donkey! Doesn't this make you all want to go out and get this?! What a joy hearing two kids argue over Baby Jesus! :)

We have an older one and love love love it! My kids still take it out and play with it year round. I recall them fighting over baby Jesus too! I know God was loving that! ;)

I have the giggles now like we used to get when we were in our EARLY twenties! Remeber that?! HA!
Oh my. It has been a few years, but we lived the ssame scenario. Even worse is when I heard myself (in stern mommy voice!) telling them to STOP. FIGHTING. OVER. BABY. JESEUS. AND. PUT. HIM. DOWN!!
I would like to think we have passed that stage at 9 and 10, but I am afraid I still may find them fighting over the exact location of his little manger. It is always something:-)
Oh yea!! I love the Fisher Price set. We have ours out too. Except we lost Baby Jesus down the air vent. Poor Baby Jesus we say now.
BTW! They sale this set at WalMart for $20.00 for anyone who wants to know.

I want one of these for at my house.... Ashtyn wants the characters to the ceremic one to play with and it is hard to explain to her that they are fragile:)!
I am going ot go by Wal Mart at lunch and see if I can get one if not I will just go to the Fisher Price Site.....

I don't think Wal Mart has the Deluxe set. But they have the smaller one, which is great too! :)
I have totally wanted to get this for my 18 month old, she has a ton of the little people stuff and loves them!

We have a similar one, it's the Veggie Tales version. My boys are BIG on Veggie Tales. They fight over "Larry" who is dressed up as a wise man. Then I have to put it away until later. When will the fighting end? lol

I have never seen the little people nativity set. I am so excited about it...I want to look for it for my kiddos.
