In our house, we have the Foodnetwork on pretty much non-stop. We love it! I am so thankful my husband loves Paula, Bobby and Jamie, Bobby Flay and Guy. He likes Alton too but I could do without. Sorry Alton! Our favorite kind of shows are the ones that visit places across America to show who has the best of something. Texas always, always, always makes it on these shows for many different types of food, cause' we got some good food y'all! But BBQ is always on the list for Texas! I've had Memphis BBQ, I've had BBQ from other parts of the south but since I am a Texan, I have to say that there is no BBQ like Texas BBQ. In fact, my blogging friend visiting Texas this next week, has made it a point to eat BBQ! Of course!
Give me a chopped beef BBQ sandwich with onions covering the chopped beef inside the bun, cover it in a spicy BBQ sauce, put a big fat juicy jalapeno on the side of my plate and I'm in heaven! LOVE IT!
So today we decided to visit a pretty famous BBQ place for lunch. This place is so good, it has made it on the Foodnetwork! One of my favorite shows is Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." Well, Guy went to this place on his show! How cool is that?! Guy's show makes Jeremy and I want to go on vacation just to visit all the places he goes to and features on his show. Oh how we love food and vacation is all about food, ain't it?! When we moved here, we heard this place was one of the best in the area and after today, I agree!
Check out the website and you will see what Texas BBQ is all about and if you come visit me in Texas, I'll take you there.
Oh and listen to the music on the website. I could listen to this music all day long. Something about the song makes me think of Idgie Threadgoode in Fried Green Tomatoes. Now that is a character I can relate to. :)

YUMMY! So does it give you heartburn?
Sounds yummy! I love the Food Network and their travel shows, too! In fact, a friend called me last week to tell me I had to go to some taco place in San Antonio when we are there next month, because she saw it on the food network as the "BEST" tacos in the country. I hope she remembers the name before we leave!
Love and I have been mapping out all the BBQ places we want to visit in Texas. For our tenth anniversary we plan to drive all around and stay in small towns trying the BBQ. I am jealous you got a jump start on us.
I just picked up Beth Moore's "90 Days With Jesus" devotional, that you had recommended around Christmas. I had been wanting to get it, and this week it was on sale so I couldn't resist. I have only done one day, but I think this is exactly what I need right now. Are you still doing this one? Just wondering how it's going:-)
