My Happies today are...
All Things Cupcake (This is currently my favorite website ever! And as soon as I get some extra money, I WILL get me some cupcake bling for sure!)
Jeremy wrote a devotion last night. I am waiting on him to call me back to find out if I am allowed to publish it. It's incredible! Totally Holy Spirit inspired!
My friend Jaime brought me a delicious cup of coffee this morning. It was a total surprise! She emailed me asking what kind of coffee I liked and then a few minutes later I heard a knock at the door. We sat on the couch drinking a cup of coffee with cinnamon as my kids came in and out with sea shells they had collected at the beach. Then they went outside and picked flowers (weeds with yellow flowers) and brought a huge pile in for Pastor Jaime (their children's pastor). A friend showing up with a hot cup of coffee is a total kiss from heaven! Especially when you are a stay at home mom and don't get adult interaction during the day. :) Jaime also told me her plans for me during VBS week at our church and I am so excited that I wish VBS was next week!
Sunday our church has a huge community event we are responsible for called "Kites For Kids". Every kid gets a free kite! There are huge jump houses, slides and so much more like FREE FOOD! The band is also playing so I get to sing at the event! :) Last year, we had just moved here and I remember passing by the High School where the event is held and seeing thousand of kites in the air. It was amazing! This year I get to be a part of it!
Another Happie is I am a part of a "secret planned event" and I can't talk about it on my blog but I can tell you about it after it happens! It's something I am really excited about and it's kept me going the last few days. I'm excited!
God is changing me. He is transforming me. I am in the midst of learning so much about myself and some of it I don't like but there is a whole lot I really love. He made a perfect "me". Now getting to a place where I truly believe that, that's the hard part but i am working!
I'm falling in love with my husband again. Today I feel renewed and joyful and it is because of my husband.
We are spiritually growing together in our marriage. If it weren't for this Intimate Life stuff we are going through in our marriage, my husband would not know how to love and comfort me right now but he does! For the first time in my marriage, I feel like we are a team!
My children are currently inside a fort they built together. I love that!
Several months ago after praying with our kids one night before bed, we started a tradition. After we pray, we do a team huddle where we stack all of our hands on top of each other and say, "Team ______ on three, Team _______ on three! One, two, three, TEAM _____!" Our team name is our last name. Josiah and Ava Beth have issues sometimes getting along like most brothers and sisters. One day the Holy Spirit gave me a creative tool in my parenting by explaining to the kids, "Hey, you are on the same team. Don't fight each other. You are on the same team. We are all a team. Our family has to stick together." Since that day, we have always referred to ourselves as a team.
Jeremy said to me a few days ago, "Babe, I'm on your team. Remember?" Jeremy and I have struggled to be on the same team for a while but now I feel like we are for sure wearing the same jerseys! "Go team ___!" Even when I mess up, he's showing me he is on my team!
If it weren't for this trial, I would not be where I am at with god right now. It is a huge spiritual marker for me. Thank you Jesus for restoring my joy!
My friends are some of the best happies I have ever had in my life! Gosh, I love these people! They know I am going through some stuff but they don't know what. None of them ask, they just ring my phone off the hook or show up at my house unannounced with love and support! How did I get so blessed? God has totally used them to bring life to me this week. It's been kind of crazy to watch. It's hard to accept support and love right now because I would love to stay in a place of self condemnation but God keeps showing me how much he loves me and has used other people to show that as well. It's AMAZING. AMAZING.

***Josiah turned five in January, less than four months ago and he is reading! He is finally learning how to read the words fast. He is writing words out, he is doing stuff that AMAZES me! I am so excited about our official school year in Homeschooling after Summer is over. I gotta brag on my boy. He is sooooooooooo smart!

I am praying for Team______! Have a great day! I know sometimes we may not know what God is trying to do and don't see His Master Plan, but it all works out! Love you girl!
yay! So glad to hear you have "happies' even in the midst of these trials... and you have wonderful friends loving on you as you go through it. Best of all, though, is feeling united with your husband. Wow! God is taking what is meant for harm and turning it for His good- as He always does:-)
(Love the "team _________" concept. My husband was a coach and so we have that same philospohy- my screensaver is Team_______ scrolling over and over. It's us against the world- with God as our Captain!)
Well, Praise the Lord!! I'm so glad to hear of your "happies". We sure do serve an AWESOME GOD.
Nancy
Go Team ________!!!!!!!
Was glad to read these. We do that same team concept too, the kids love it.
Good idea to surround your house in scripture right now. The most growth in our lives happens in the valleys and I can tell you are growing.
Wish I lived closer. I'd bring you a coffee today! :)
