You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may SING praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 30:11-12

South Padre Island
We left Sunday after church and drove half way to Corpus Christi. Doing that helped with the kids a lot. Three kids in the car for six hours was not something I looked forward to. Monday morning we left Corpus and went to South Padre where we had reservations at a beach resort right on the beach. It was incredible and we will definitely stay there again! We ate seafood, pizza and a ton of other food! I took my running shoes and planned to run on the beach but it never happened. So I thought I would run on the treadmill in the work out room but that did not happen either! I decided to relax, although today I am feeling like I am about to go nuts since I have not run in a week! Oh well, that's what vacation is all about, right?! Eating and sleeping! The kids did great on the six hour ride home. Just a couple more days of vacation and then Daddy goes back to work on Monday.
This was our first family vacation and it's exciting to think about Josiah and Ava Beth remembering this for the rest of their lives. Ezekiel won't remember but we have some pictures to remind all three of them of this special time our family had together. It was truly a kiss from Heaven!
