So long, no blog.
Well, we are really enjoying Summer with our new pool. It's not like me to not post pictures of something new and exciting BUT my camera is down on batteries. Tomorrow I will get some new batteries so you can see the new pool! It is the best money spent! We love it!
This morning Heidi let me drop the kids off so I could get a run in. With three little kids and my schedule with church stuff, three runs is all I am able to get in. During the week I run two 4milers then on Saturday I run the long run, which is holding at 7miles. To prevent injury, I have to stay at 7 miles for several weeks before moving to 8. Heidi is also running the half marathon so I am going to keep her little ones for one of her weekly runs. We are hoping this will help with the heat at night and help us get to spend more time at home. I hope it works because I really hate leaving at night to go run twice a week and then having rehearsal another night of the week.
Someone asked me why I am running only four miles at a time during the week and saving the long run for Saturday. Well, this is a part of training. It takes your body a while to recover and you have to have a rest day in between. Since I am training for the half marathon, I have to stick to the plan. I must! The last thing I want to do is get hurt. I am constantly praying God protects me from injury. CONSTANTLY.
Tomorrow I am getting new shoes. New running shoes! I will have to spend about $85-$100, which sucks! But, my feet will appreciate it! My knees will too! I could go to Payless or Target and get four pairs of shoes that would be totally cute for Summer outfits with that kind of money. Dang it! Tennis shoes are those shoes you have to spend serious money on! Why is that?! Cheap Tennis shoes just won't cut it! With $100 I could go to my favorite store FOREVER 21 and get some cool shirts, sparkly, cheap bling and super cute shoes! The shoes would totally kill my feet but they would look very cute! I am glad though that I will have some new shoes for running. I need them badly. Someone else asked what brand of running shoes I use. Well, I like Asics but I did try on Heidi's Nike's this morning and I may check them out. I'm scared to switch because I love my Asics. If you live in the Austin area and you see some girl running up and down the aisles of your local ACADEMY Sports and Outdoors testing shoes, it's me! Oh and if you are looking for good running shoes, don't forget you need to buy one size bigger. Your feet swell and your toes need lots of room. Buy big!
Anyone watching THE MOLE or THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR? I love those two shows!
I think I know who the winner of Food Network Star will be and I think I know who the Mole is. Do you? :)
Folks, I've got nothing else to talk about. It's time to pick up toys, take a shower and get ready for dinner with a friend at Chilies and then off to rehearsal.
Tomorrow is Friday! Love Fridays!! Sorry for the boring post. :)

I need to know the best way to train for this 10K. I could run 6.2 if I had to, but I am really tired after last night. I have a friend who wants to run tonight, but I don't know if I should.
ARGH! The Mole has started already? Oh no! Have I missed a lot? When is it on?
I am watching "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Bachelorette"...I normally watch "The Mole", however, not sure why I am not watching it this season! BTW, your posts are NEVER boring. I am so proud of you and running...I wish I had a running partner near by that I could do that with. I don't run, but I wish I could. Love you!
Yes, Kaleigh had an Elmo cake too for her 2nd birthday. They both LOVE him...I love him too, too! Hahahaha! You have a GREAT memory! Love you!
