My very close friend and neighbor, Becky! Oh how I love her! And isn't she beautiful!?
So the kids kept telling my hair looked green but the can said neon-yellow with glitter! And Mom don't worry, it washed right out! I could not believe how excited the kids were about my hair changing colors for the team that won. The parents walking in even told me how the kids could not stop talking about "Miss Amanda's" Hair. If only we could get adults to worship like these kids, I would spray paint my hair! Wow! I have been sooooooooo blessed by this and it's only Wednesday! These kids I don't know very well except those that belong to friends of mine. But they see me in the hall and scream my name or RUN to hug me. They TOTALLY speak to my top three relational needs (I completed the test during our marriage study). Acceptance, Affirmation and Affection! After a very hard week last week, THIS has been just what God KNEW I needed.
Tonight the hair will be red! :)

Have you ever considered that God is calling you to minister to children? You started with your own and that is your most important ministry.
OK! The red spray hair color scares me a little but it's worth it -- making memories for children is more important than worrying about your hair. We can just cut it or you can just have cool tips!
I can't wait to get there and enjoy all the excitement with you.

It says SonWorld. I think! :)
I was thinking exactly what your Mom said... ministering to your own kids and family (which I truly believe is every mom's first calling) might be preparing for you a future in children's ministry.
Either way, I know you are open to whatever God leads you to do- which is a cool thing to "see" through your blog.
Okay so I was a Children's Pastor intern and then a Children's Pastor for the same church back when Jeremy and I first got married. I was NOT good at it but I did LOVE the Christmas musical I did with them.
I've grown a lot over the last few years where I could see myself being involved because I love being where my kids are. But, this would be an area GOD would totally have to show me in big bold letters because I don't feel called to it AT ALL. :) Maybe I am secretly fighting it. My old churches would tell you how I am the LAST one to volunteer for anything child related. :) Maybe in a few months I will help in that area but not feeling it right now. OKAY GOD? :)
Mom, remember little Scotty at Trinity and Keisha singing "Happy Birthday Jesus?". One morning I ask for prayer requests and Scotty told me his turtle was dying and we need to pray God would heal the turtle. This was BEFORE I was a mother. I don't think I was sympathetic enough. :)Then I got pregnant and could not get through Children's Church without throwing up so Jeremy had to teach. :)
Josh works with Scotty and Tiesha's uncle (Nick, Kanetta's husband). Small world!
I understand your feelings. Being with your children will bring you in contact with other children. Obviously children gravitate to you. It must be the cool hair!
luv u
