My Kindergartner

Okay, I can't help it! I HAVE TO BRAG on my Kindergartner!!!

Today he read a ton! He is seriously picking everything up he can get his hands on and trying to read it. Jeremy did the reading lesson with him last night and he was amazed. I'm amazed! This morning I listened in while he told Ava Beth they needed to write some things down they were scared of and give them to God. He said, "I'll write your name Sissy. I know how to spell your name and that way God will know it was from you." Ahhhhhhh! I love these kids!

I had something tonight so when I got home around 9pm, Josiah was in his bed WRITING. He did not want to show me because he said it was a note for me. He apparently fell asleep writing because I just went into his room and I found some note cards where he had written the fruits of the spirit we've learned so far. For the last three weeks I have had three note cards on our board. Love, Joy and Peace. Each week I add one. Anyway, apparently he has been looking at them. Then I found a note next to his sister. He had placed it on her pillow and it had the fruits of the spirit and her name.

Seriously! I am blown away by this kid! And yes, I must say that I am proud of Mama too. This is the best thing I have ever done with my life!

We did talk about the attacks of 911 today. Then we prayed for the families. When Daddy got home, Josiah asked him why the flag outside was hanging half mast. Jeremy said, "I will tell you why. Do you know what today is? Today is 911." Then my precious boy said, "Yes. Mommy told me all about it. Planes crashed into buildings and a lot of people died. We prayed for them today." I'm glad I told him about it today. Obviously he listened.

Every single day is a blessing. I could not ask for anything more!

I am so glad you are homeschooling Josiah. He has always had such a tender heart. You truly are cultivating and teaching him to love and care for his siblings. I so wish I would have known how to do that. That's because YOU are a mother led by the Holy Spirit, I was not. Thank You, Jesus, I am now.

I am so proud of you, Mandi. I love you.

Kiss Josiah, Ava Beth and Zeekey Zoomba for me and tell them I love them.
