Minnie

Friends,

Please take a moment and pray for one of my closest friends and prayer warriors, Minnie.

Some of you may remember the story of how we became friends. I had told my friend Elizabeth to pray we would find a house to buy when we moved from the Frisco area back to the mid-cities area. My friend Elizabeth was also praying for her friend Minnie to find a buyer for the house they were selling. Elizabeth had no idea that her prayers, without her even telling me about the house, would lead us to Jake and Minnie's house. The rest is history. We bought their house, they moved into their new house and Minnie and I became very close friends who talked on the phone religiously and still do. :) My mom is also her hair stylist.

Tonight Minnie is being admitted to the hospital for labor induction. Last week they found out the baby had passed away due to Trisomy 18. Tomorrow Minnie will give birth to her precious baby who is already with Jesus.

Please be praying for Minnie, her husband Jake and their two boys Jacob and Cale. Minnie is doing well. I just hung up the phone with her after she had purchased a blanket for the baby. Jesus is carrying her. She has the most incredible supernatural peace I have ever seen in anyone. The next few days, weeks and months will be hard but Minnie is the most incredible woman with the most outrageous faith i have ever seen! She is a survivor and God is going to use her to change so many lives. She has changed my life.

Words cannot express how much I am hurting for her. I feel like the Holy Spirit has allowed me to feel some of her pain as I have cried all day long for her. I won't pretend like understand because I don't. The only thing I know to do is pray and encourage her. I love her and I know God's plan for her life is more than she could ever imagine.

Oh what heartache, I cannot even imagine. I am praying...praying for peace and for comfort.

Sweet Jesus please make your presence know to this family and let them feel Your arms around them.

Through blogs, I have heard of this diagnosis and the families who have carried these babies to term. Eliot Mooney, Audrey Caroline (Bring The Rain), and so many more. Each time I read about these families and I am struck with such agony, they share their testimony and His grace which is sufficient...and I am blown away.

I know your friend is dealing with such heartbreak right now. There are not words. Thankfully we have such a mighty intercessor.

I actually remember her from your blog when you posted pictures of people who helped you moved (i think?) I will pray for her and her husband and sons.

Hi, I just happened to come across your blog as I was searching for cute backgrounds for mine, and now I believe I was led here so that I can pray for your friend. God is GOOD and knows that family's needs and will give them grace and strength to shine for Him. You are also in my prayers to be a strong friend and comfort for her.

Hey Amanda!
I found Audrey Caroline's story Bring the Rain thru a friend's blog. Angie is such a writer and prophet. I hope in time your sweet friend will find her blog and so many other families who walk with Trisomy 18 as a place of comfort that she is never, ever alone in her pain.

hugs! k

I am praying and I also blogged about her and asked my readers to be praying for her. Our salon will be praying as well. Let us just bathe Minnie in prayer all day.

I love you and thank you for bringing Minnie into my life.

Did she used to write the Minnie moments blog? If so, I've met her! There was a get-together for bloggers in dfw about two years ago and I sat by her at lunch. What a sweet lady. I'm so sorry for her loss and will definitely pray for their family. That's heartbreaking.

Oh, Sweet Friend, you are nothing short of amazing! I am so touched and humbled that you would covet the prayers of others on my behalf. I am certainly feeling ALL of them and have no doubt that I am right in the palm of our sovereign Lord right at this moment. We truly have a "peace beyond understanding" through one of the hardest times on our lives and have complete joy in knowing that our sweet Samuel is sitting in the lap of Jesus.

Love you!!!!
