The house is totally decorated for Christmas. We got it all done on Sunday and it feels great to have it done! The outside is done, the inside is done! Christmas is here! However, I am still excited to spend the afternoon and evening baking for Thanksgiving. We will be going to my aunt's house on Thursday for lunch. She only lives about 45 minutes away. Jeremy took the day off tomorrow (so not like him) and surprised us tonight with the news. Tomorrow afternoon I am going shopping with a friend to search for the annual Christmas Pajamas because the kids always sleep in them the night after Thanksgiving. :) And I have to complete mine and Ava Beth's outfits for when we go to The Nutcracker in less than two weeks!! ALL of my laundry is folded and put away and I know my husband will really appreciate this while he naps tomorrow afternoon on a couch without having to move clean clothes.
I may run the Turkey Trot Thursday morning if I can get all my stuff done tomorrow. Or I may do my long run instead. I can't decide. My decision making process lately has been really, really messed up.
The Holidays are always very hard for me. More and more I see so much of the pain from my past that I have not been totally been able to let go of. I don't believe God wants me to go on a digging expedition and dig up past pain (it was hard enough when those years happened) but I do believe I have to face my past so I can face the future. (I heard that on Joyce Meyer!)
These past few days have been hard and I truly believe the enemy is smart enough to throw all kinds of issues my way on the week of THANKSGIVING.
Right this moment as I type, Ezekiel (he will be 2 in January) is yelling "Maa, Maa, Maaaaa." It's a happy "Maaa". He can hear me and wants to be close to me. I am so thankful for my life as a Mother. SO THANKFUL! Josiah has always called me Mommy. Ava Beth has always called me Mama and now Ezekiel calls me "Maaa". Love my babies!
Happy Thanksgiving!

You are setting new traditions and making precious memories with your family of five. Everything you do (daily) that comes from your love for them and their daddy is carving out such a special place in their hearts!
Prayers as you and your family celebrate with a thankful heart. I would love to be eating some of your yummies! Your aunt is a lucky lady ;)
Hey there! We got our Christmas jammies at Gymboree this year... they were having a great sale plus you can always find coupons in parent magazine! Anyway... they had some super cute ones and of course in all the kids sizes since everything at Gymboree matches!!! Have fun! :)

Isn't great to be a momma??? What would we do if we didn't hear that??? I try so hard to soak that up every minute that I can. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels. And may you continue to feel God's love, support and guidance. We love you all. Please give those babies some love for me.
