Last week while I was running, this song came on my iPod and I clearly heard God say, "I want you to do this song on the 16th and on the 30th." At first I was like, "God, she sings higher than me and I can't sing this without crying. So, HOW?" And in case you did not think God knew about "Nike", I am here to tell you HE DOES because I heard him say "JUST DO IT!".
Apparently someone will be in church this weekend, who needs this song as a part of their worship. I may never know who or why until I get to Heaven but it's amazing just knowing that this song was handpicked by God Almighty for our Church this weekend!
I pray I will continue to hear His voice LOUD AND CLEAR!
Hallelujah!

I LOVE this song. Gives me chills. I cannot wait to be in the presence of our precious Lamb and sing this to Him.
I know I've said this before, but I LOVE this song! You are right...someone will be there and need this song desperately. That's just how cool our God is!!
Amanda, this is so funny that you wrote about this because back in 2006 when Kari Jobe had came out with this, this was my song, it brought me to tears, and the Holy Spirit was always so strong. I have read your blog since 2005, and knew that you were a worship leader. For some reason, when I first heard that song I thought of you although I don't really know you, I wanted to email you and say, "listen to this song, you have to sing this" but I didn't because I thought, oh she probably has already heard this, and has probably already thought of that. But hear you are a few years later singing this! I know you will do great even though I have never heard you sing! God always brings his plans into full circle in his timing! I guess there is someone there that is going to be totally ministered to during that song, the Holy Spirit will be so evident there. Wow, God is SO amazing!
I love how you are conscious of the fact that it might be ONE PERSON who needs to hear this and are obedient to do it...
He would have died for just one, so you are reflecting the heart of Jesus!

What is so wonderful about this post is that you are so aware of that ONE person. That is what God cares about. He rejoices over that ONE. It is not about the numbers, how many come forward, it is about that ONE who has committed to change their life for God. Another brother or sister one step closer to the kingdom of God.
Praise God for you and listening to the Spirit speak.
Does your church offer live feed?
Hi Amanda, Im one of Kelly Evans' friends from up here in Missouri. I found your blog from you and Kellys running blog and check it every once in a while.
I just listened to this song for the first time and it gave me chills! Awesome song. Thank you for sharing and for being open to the Holy Spirit. I know there was someone there that needed to hear this song.
That is funny how God told me to tell you to sing it....it was just a little later than you heard. I absolutely love that song and I think it is definitely a song that others need to hear in the time of need. I wish I could have heard you sing it....:)
