Sugar & Spice???

Everyone keeps asking about my Holiday Baking Business "Sugar & Spice" and if I was doing it this year. This was my first year in three years not to do it. Jeremy and I talked about it in the Summer and decided that we would take a year off. I won't lie, it was nice having a year off at Thanksgiving and Christmas from the cheese balls!! I remember being pregnant with Ezekiel and Jeremy and I making 50 cheese balls in one day! I was nine months pregnant so my feet were swollen and my back was in major pain! The fudge was always a huge success, along with the Rum cakes and snowball cookies. I loved every bit of it! That KitchenAid Stand Mixer never got a break and this afternoon it kind of got to me. I miss it! I MISS the people I delivered to and I miss the CASH for sure!

So instead of baking for money this season, I am baking for fun!!! Rum Cakes, Peanut butter Balls, Milk Chocolate Fudge, Snowballs and Cookies!!! Tomorrow the kids and I will be delivering some goodies and I can't wait! Also tomorrow is Ava Beth's 4 yr Birthday (our Christmas Baby) so of course we will have cupcakes! She wants Christmas cupcakes for her Birthday and she wants to have a birthday party for Jesus too! Remember how I have described myself as an obsessive baker? Well, I thought I would show you the cupcake cabinet! I've also become obsessed with buying cupcake stuff even when I don't need it! If someone I know is having a hard day, I can ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS bake cupcakes!!! And in case you are wondering what all the cake mixes are for.....well, my Rum cake calls for a yellow cake mix (along with other stuff). Also for cupcakes I use mixes and add cream cheese, pudding mixes or sour cream. Whatever "The Cupcake Doctor" recipe book calls for, that is what I add!!!! Every cupcake lover should own that book! Oh and the icing??? ALWAYS HOMEMADE BUTTER CREAM OR CREAM CHEESE ICING!

Just thought it would be fun to share a little glimpse into my baking craziness! Next time I will have to show you a picture of all my aprons! :)

Merry Christmas!

I love cupcakes!

I love making cupcakes, they are so fun and so much easier than a cake. I need to get that book for some new recipes. Have fun baking!

I love cupcakes, too. So much, I changed my kitchen decor to cupcakes/dessert.

I'm going to need to go get that book.

Happy Birthday Ava Beth!!

I have the Cake Doctor, so I am sure the Cupcake Doctor is just as good.

Love baking holiday goodies. It is better to do it for fun.

If you just don't or can't someone to, let me know. I have a friend that does. She is thinking of tackling this one.

Hey Paula! Yes, I make bows. A friend taught me how last year and I don't make them as much as I used to but I love making bows!!

I LOVE that book, So many great ideas! My pantry looks a lot like this year round. I can't resist making cookies at least once a week. I just try to give them away instead of eating them! :)
