Happy 6th Birthday Josiah!

Dear Josiah,

You have changed my life! I will never forget the special times between me and you when you were a baby. It was just you and Mommy all day long while daddy worked. You had surgery at two weeks old and a major case of acid reflux. You taught me quickly that being a mommy was hard work! You were colic for three months but we worked it out! We found our groove! The pediatrician said colic babies grew up to be very intelligent and that you would be a very smart child! Well, I believed him and you are smarter than I could have ever imagined.

I love our morning chats while you eat breakfast. I love how obsessed you are with brushing your teeth! I love how you make serious faces when you are explaining to me what you need me to do or what you need help with. I love how when you giggle I can see your gums (just like daddy). I love how you constantly tell me I am the best "cooker" in the whole world. I love how when I am putting on my makeup you say "Wow Mommy. You are a pretty Mommy". I love how sensitive you are. I love how you are loyal and honest. I love the fact that you offer to pray for me when I am feeling down. I love how every single time I walk in the door from running, you say "Mommy, how many miles did you run? Was it a good run?" I love how you take care of your little sister and little brother. I love that you try to read everything word you see and then try to teach it to sissy. I love how you obsess over things and carry them around with you everywhere you go. It may be a rock you found or Power Rangers. Whatever it is, you carry it with you and take good care of it. You are great at caring for things!

Your PASSION for music and your ability to sing on pitch AMAZES me. I like that you feed the dogs every single day and never complain about it (yet)! I love how you love your friends and how you talk about them so kindly when they are not around. I love how you look to Daddy and follow him around everywhere he goes. I love your heart. I love you. I love how you love me. I love how God has used you to CHANGE me. I love that you are growing into a Godly man. Since you were in my belly I have prayed over your life and the calling God has placed on your life. We did not name you after a King for nothing! King Josiah, you will be a strong and powerful man of God. I am blessed to know that God chose ME to be your mother.

Happy Birthday to the smartest, best looking, loving, talented 6 year old boy I have ever known!
