Red Velvet Valentine's

Josiah handed these out to his basketball team last night. I think these are much better than folded Spider Man Valentine cards! :) And today I am making more for Ava Beth's Dance class tomorrow. The ones I am doing for her will be the same recipe but decorated different. Can't wait!

I LOVE CUPCAKES!

This one is for you Nonny!

You made my day!!!! Thanks for that!! Wanted to ask you, I notice you always bake your cupcakes in plain liners but then sit them in the decorated ones....Tell me your reasoning!!

I knew you would like that!!!

Well, I learned that trick a couple of years ago. It just looks so much better. I seriously buy the white liners every time I go to the store and buy the fun ones anytime I can find unique ones. I am addicted to buying cupcake liners! :)

It looks so much better when you do that! Don't you think?? :)

Absolutely, it looks better! Just wondered if you did it just for looks! I like it because when you bake in the cute ones, you lose a lot of the cuteness!!! I had never thought of this before until I saw yours!!!

Yep!!! That's why i do it!!!! It's funny because people always comment on my cupcakes regarding the liners!! :)

I love that idea with the liners! I pipe my icing like this straight from a baggie. Is that what you do? I love some good buttercream but regular store-bought actually looks good too!

I bet you were a huge hit at basketball! That is way better than the typical juice bag and bag of cheez-its ;)

Enjoy your week leading up to the big day!

Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake mix
(My friend who is a PROFESSIONAL wedding cake, cookie, cupcake maker says the red velevt cake mix is as good as the real thing and I totally agree!!)

Icing is homemade butter cream.

For these I used a ziplock bag. I will never spread icing on cupcakes again. NEVER! :) This is too much fun but you have to double your buttercream recioe because it uses a lot more icing.
