I have read here for so long and NEVER commented (that I can remember!) Amanda, your family is beautiful, and your love for them and for the Lord and your life is inspiring, and whenever I visit I leave cheering you on- and cheering God! What a beautiful testimony!

I read your post about family worship, and it was beautiful, and I love the path the Lord is leading you on. My husband is a minister, so worship in a body is part of the job, but we have long held family worship nights because we feel there is no better time to teach our children about *how* to worship than when we are in a circle together, without distraction. We ADORE our family worship night. It is such a beautiful thing.

I was wondering what the name of the Amish documentary is that you watched? It sounds just up our alley- we recently watched "Trouble in Amish Paradise" on youtube, and were so impressed with the faith of the two young families who were searching the scriptures themselves and seeking God on their own, being forbidden by the church to do so. My husband and I enjoy a documentary and some Scrabble several times a week, so I'd love to have something new to add into the mix! :)

Thank you again, friend, for your openness, obedience, and JOY!

Much love,

Oh, my goodness! Hahaha! I was signed in under my brother's gmail account (he's here visiting and has to check "chess" things all the time! :)

This is the real me. With my blog and email address and everything. You don't have to post either one of these- I just wanted to encourage you and tell you I'm *here* since I've lurked so long, and to ask about the Amish documentary.

You may continue. :)

Hope your Sunday is beautiful!
Much love,
Elise (the real one)
