Happy Fall gifts

I learned about the heavenly mix of candy corn and peanuts from Nonny! Who knew it would taste exactly like a payday candy bar?! I have a whole box of Mason jars in the garage and I've been trying to come up with a festive way to use them. And since I made hair bows for Ava Beth when she was little, I have a storage container FULL of ribbon! It's way too early to deliver our annual "Boo Bags". Although the kids are ready to assemble those bags now!! So...why not give these out?!

My friend and neighbor, Kimmy, helps us with the dogs when we go out of town. She brings medicine for the kids when I run out, crackers and sparkling water for me (morning sickness), and happens to be a person who cheers LOUDLY on my behalf at all times! A huge encourager! It's pretty amazing. She is not a Homeschooler, yet she is one of the biggest encouragers in my life when it comes to Homeschooling. Constantly affirming me! It is her gift!

Then our friends from church (they also live down the street) lost their favorite cat last night, "Hello Kitty". A few months ago they lost one of their chickens. Needless to say, their four little girls are a bit traumatized from losing pets! Plus Mommy is eight months pregnant and about to lose her Mom to cancer. This jar of candy corn and peanuts won't scratch the surface of all that, but I pray it will bring a smile.

Fall is my favorite season! I love how it makes me feel and how the Lord speaks to me. The power of a new season is pretty awesome! I'm embracing it.

Happy Fall!

Oh yes, candy does make all things a little better ;) Thanks for our lovely autumn-sorry-your-cat-got-creamed surprise! And it does taste like a Payday! Who knew!

These are beautiful. We are copying (hope that is ok) to give small thank-you tokens to the sweet families who generously help us with carpool and such daily!

Thanks for the inspiration! And even though we are no longer homeschooling, I think we may do those sweet wreaths with our kiddos at some point this week or next for some fall decor around the house! A great saturday afternoon project!

Well. I'll have you know that I just ate through nearly a HALF A BAG of that blasted candy corn! I am so horribly addicted!

The jars are so precious! I love this idea for Christmas too. I am a sucker for Mason jars :)
