The fab five!

Psalm 127:3-5
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. 4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

Ezekiel has taken to Israel in a major way! He cries to hold him. He is probably the sibling most taken by him. I love the brother bond!

As we watered flowers this morning, I filled the birdbath with clean water. All I could do was gush with praise as I looked at this verse. Thanking God for the fullness my family brings. My ARROWS make me strong!

If you have read this blog for any length of time, you know my Texas pride. I made this for Israel before he was born, and reminded him this morning that he was a TEXAN and should be proud! I think he smiled! :)

As she picked out the dead flowers from our plants, I was reminded once again of the new growth in our lives. These moments have to be taken in DAILY. Soon she will be a woman, taking care of her own family. I must capture each and every moment, even when I am exhausted from a newborn. The moments? The moments are EVERYTHING!

He's a giant baby now! Jeremy calls him "Hulk Baby". Next to Israel, he is GIGANTIC! If he hears Israel whimpering, he becomes very concerned. When he sees him nursing, he crawls up next to me and places his hand on my breast. It could be him claiming old territory but I like to think he is giving his blessing! I love you Jude bug!

My five arrows

If you can't tell from this picture, we were transported to the hospital last Sunday night. My water broke Saturday evening and after 24 hours of labor and no baby, we had to transport. I was able to deliver vaginally, NO CSECTION! Praise the Lord! But he made his debut sunny side up (face up), which made things very interesting! Many have asked me if I am sad or disappointed that I was unable to deliver at home. The ONLY thing that made me sad was Ava Beth not being able to be there. She was looking forward to cutting the cord. And I had never spent the night away from Jude. I cried a bucket-full of tears over that one! My Mom was there with the kids and everything went beautiful!

I look forward to finding time to share my actual "birth story". It is packed full of amazing things God showed me. A marathon type of story for sure!! I am so thankful for my midwives amazing care for the last nine months and their time and devotion to me during labor. And they took me to the most amazing hospital ever! It felt like a five star hotel! NO KIDDING!

Today is my first day alone with all five and it seems to be going well. Israel is a nursing champ and all the kids are being so helpful! Jeremy set me up for success by getting the house in order before he went back to work and friends and neighbors have brought meals every single day since we have been home.

So there is a quick little update! I'm off to nurse a baby and watch Dolphin Tale with the "FABULOUS FIVE"!
