greetings from Dallas

Sunday morning worship was awesome. The first service was more of a rehearsal for me. I definitely felt awkward when I did the "Welcome" but the second service was great! My heart rate slowed down. I was able to speak and sing much better after my heart quit pounding in my throat!! But, the nerves forced me to completely rely on the Holy Spirit and that's exactly where I want and need to be. (Thank you DB for giving me the opportunity and the support/coaching.)

I was telling my best friend here in Dallas, Kelly Ann, that after I found my groove, I had a blast. I enjoyed myself, enjoyed the songs and I had more fun singing than I have ever had in my life. Seriously. Sunday was an incredible day that I will always remember because it was a day that seem to confirm the calling I feel God has placed on my life. This Sunday I will not be at church and instead of me welcoming the rest or the break, I'm really, really sad. I would much rather be there.

Well, a lot has happened here in Dallas. Jeremy and the kids ended up leaving Austin Saturday because his sister's water broke at 35 weeks. I came as soon as church was over on Sunday. Isaiah Jonathan was born Saturday night around 8:30pm and weighed 4lbs and 11oz. Right now he is still in the NICU but we think he will get to come home in a few days. He has improved greatly every single day but still needs monitoring for his breathing and a few lights for jaundice. Jeremy's sister is doing great! This is a lot for a first time Mama to go through but I have been amazed at her spirits. God has given her total peace and I am so proud of her. The whole reason I came to Dallas was to have a baby shower for Chrissy. We had no idea he would come so early! Isaiah is gorgeous! His features do not look like a preemie at all. He looks wonderful. I will post some pictures soon.

It's hard being away from home with the kids. Their schedule is crazy right now and my mobile phone has been ringing non-stop with people wanting to see us. Don't get me wrong, I love it! But, my nephew being in the hospital, etc. has kind of taken priority so I have not been able to "hang out" yet. I can't wait to actually SEE Kelly Ann, instead of just talking to her on the phone. I'm praying today is the day! :)

so glad to hear such great news from sunday--i was praying. and congratulations on your new nephew! sounds rather familiar--my girls were born at 35 weeks and spent some time in the NICU--encourage your sis-in-law from me--she'll get her baby home, soon. and it's okay if things feel a little weird in the meantime. (or, in my case, totally wrong.) :) love you. janna

What a blessing to lead the worship- I am sure God ministered to you in so many ways as you prepared and led others. What a gift!

Enjoy your time in Dallas:-)
