Every Day Is New Years Day

Tomorrow we are beginning a brand new sermon series at church that I am really excited about. I really think it is going to challenge a lot of people, including myself about what the body of Christ should and will look like for our body of believers. The series really has nothing to do with New Years but we decided to kick it off with this song below that yours truly will be singing. I wish it was on youtube or project play list so you could hear it but, you can spend ninety-nine cents and purchase it on itunes if you are curious. All of you long time Christian radio listeners, remember Carolyn Arends? She was popular in the late 90's. I like this song but every single time I say I am singing NEW YEARS DAY, it is mistaken for U2. Nope, Carolyn Arends. You know, Seize The Day chick?? Carolyn also plays a Taylor!

(Oh and the fun thing about singing this song is the band is AMAZING. I sang this once before at a very well kown church in the Dallas area where the musicians are professional. If you are blessed enough to be chosen to sing a song there, it will sound EXACTLY like the original or better. So I was so excited at rehearsal the other night when the band started playing this song. It sounds EXACTLY like the orginal and better. I will be the one lacking for sure! That's what I love about my church, the band ROCKS!)

New Year's Day
by Carolyn Arends

I buy a lot of diaries
Fill them full of good intentions
Each and every New Year's Eve
I make myself a list
All the things I'm gonna change
Until January 2nd
So this time I'm making one promise

Chorus:
This will be my resolution
Every day is New Year's Day
This will be my resolution
Every day is New Year's Day

I believe it's possible
I believe in new beginnings
'Cause I believe in Christmas Day
And Easter morning too
And I'm convinced it's doable
'Cause I believe in second chances
Just the way that I believe in you

This will be my resolution
Every day is New Year's Day
This could start a revolution
Every day is...

One more chance to start all over
One more chance to change and grow
One more chance to grab a hold of grace
And never let it go

HI Friend!
Wow, it has been a while...I have been wondering how you are!
Thanks for stopping by! :)
You look great with your sweet little girl.
Have fun planning the boy's b-day party, how great to do it together, take advantage of that for as many years as they allow :)
I agree with you in regards to why the church exists...if you read in His Word, it is clear that the church is made up to EDIFY and encourage the body of believers, that happens when we are ALL doing our part! :)
I have a hubbie that is continually preaching that the church is not about us...we are Christ's BRIDE, servants for HIM...we need to be a LIGHT of love and SALVATION to all who come our way!!
OK, lots of love you way :)
God bless,
Liz
p.s. thanks for the congrats, we are so blessed...God is good!
