Obviously I am sad about the Cowboys. I never felt good about the game. In fact, I was pretty sure they would lose to the Giants. We are the better team, everyone picked us to win, even Vegas and Howie, Terry and Jimmy too. But yesterday, we sucked it up. There is no way the Giants can beat the Packers and there was no way we could beat the Patriots so I am looking at this way. At least my Sundays can be a little more relaxing and I don't have to witness the Cowboys losing the Superbowl because there is no team that can beat the Patriots right now. Not gonna happen! If it does, I will publicly admit I was wrong and explain a word called MIRACLE because the Giants beating the Packers would be a miracle and the Chargers beating the Patriots? Well, that would mean Hell froze over.
Another downer? Well, my running partner is injured and I've got a 10k to train for. I've got hills to run and I have to get past the 5 mile mark and work on my time. Could I get my 10K at an hour? Man, that would be awesome! So with Heidi being injured, I have to do this on my own. My iPod will get a lot of use over the next few weeks. Oh how I will miss my running partner!! But, this girl has got to keep training! Right now I am counting down the next hour. Jeremy will be home and then I can run!!
So now I will turn my attention to The Dallas Mavericks. This is what we do every year around this time. It just so happens that we go crazy over them too and especially knowing they are in 1st place in our division makes it even better! It will be a lot riskier wearing my Dallas Mavericks tshirts here in Austin when we are so close to San Antonio. There are a lot of San Antonio fans here. Yesterday our friends Richard and Frances came over to watch the game and their fourteen year old son loves the Cowboys like we do so the company was great. But then I mentioned Basketball and much to my chagrin, learned that they are HUGE Spurs fans! DANG IT! If the Mavericks continue to do well, June will be a nail biting month. Thankfully, American Idol starts this week and if I can't find friends to watch the Mavericks with, we at least have AI. EVERYONE LOVES AI! Right?! Well, I've got dinner to prepare and running clothes to put in the dryer. I think I will wear one of my Dallas Mavericks tshirts for tonight's run! I'm now praying for Avery Johnson and the Mavs. The Cowboys have exhausted me and if I hear the words Jessica Simpson one more time, I may puke and I hate puking. :(
(By the way, anyone watching The Biggest Loser? I am loving this season. I cry the entire time.)

there is no way the giants will beat the packers - no way. but Dear Lord please please please - let the chargers beat the pats. i do not like the pats at all. ugh. maybe more that my dislike for the boys. whoa, did i just say that?!! ;)

Kate, I must admit to you that we hate the Giants more than the Redskins. I can't wait to see Favre this weekend!! Go Packers! ONLY because you are playing the Giants Favre!
