Bread of life (updated)

I remember a time back when I was a single adult and going through a very difficult time. At the time I had a roommate named Kim. She was very caring during this time and knew my pain was not something I could communicate. It was affecting my health, my appetite, my job, everything. The only thing I wanted to do was sleep. Our apartment was two stories with bedrooms upstairs and everything else downstairs. So one morning I walked downstairs to leave for work and saw our front door was covered in tiny, yellow post-it notes. Covered. It's something I wish I had a picture of. The sight was unreal. As I got closer to the door, I noticed every single post-it note had a scripture written on it and a small note attached to the door knob saying, "Amanda, your only option is to cling to the truth. Allow this to be your bread today. Feed on it my friend. I love you. -Kim"

Every once in a while we get to those places in life where things get really, really yucky. I can say for sure this trial I am in now will go down on my timeline. It's a rough one. But there is also something incredible about it, something I am loving and that is my closeness with the Holy Spirit right now. I am relying on him for my every move. It's a painful time in my life but a very sweet time for me and Jesus. If this pain right now will keep me at His feet, I am willing to walk the long road through this. God is achieving something so much greater and I know He has big plans for my family. I know it!

Today, I feast on God's Word. His truth is where I must stay.

(Many of you are very concerned thinking that something is wrong with Jeremy's job or our Church home. Jeremy loves his job and we love our church. God is taking care of us. We have an incredible group of people loving on us right now through our church family and we have each other. Don't worry about us, just pray for us.)

2 Corinthians 1:3-7
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

Romans 15:13
13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 3:14-21

Philippians 4:4-7
4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

John 16:33

We will be praying for you. It is so awesome that we can intercede for one another and not even have to know why because God does. What a mighty God we serve!

Praise God that you have a strong husband who stands by you and it determined to fight this thing together.

What a Blessing! Count your blessings name them one by one, count your blessings see what God has done!

You have much to be thankful for and remembering those those (putting your eyes on HIM) will make the tough stuff seem so much easier to get through.
