While sitting in church this morning, I told myself something. "Sit in this service and enjoy. Listen, sing and be refreshed. When you get home, you will be busy so enjoy this hour and a half." My mind was racing this morning when I woke up to get ready for church. Jeremy left early to do sound so it was just me and the kids. It would have been so easy to stay home and work on getting the house prepared for the week but I needed to see friends and enjoy worship. I did just that!
But since I walked in the door from church, I have not sat still. I am so excited I can hardly stand it but nervous at the same time. I've laid out clothes, planned this weeks menu (almost) and made sure everyone has fresh sheets. There will be no pallets on the floor tonight to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's room. It's an early bed time in your own bed! I can't wait for 7pm to get here so the night-night process can begin. :) The only thing left to do is paint the stars on the US Flag. Jeremy traced 50 stars so it's ready to be painted then hung on the wall for our first pledge of allegiance in the morning!
Not sure how the day will go. I have plans but my plans could go out the door. I am planning on waking up Ezekiel early so he will be ready for his nap in the morning. He still takes two naps a day. I know, I know, it will be gone soon but I will enjoy it while it lasts. No one is allowed downstairs for breakfast until clothes are on! Now this idea may not work but I think it's a good way to get our day started. Then it's breakfast all together and depending on Zeke, we will begin school right after. If Zeke seems to not be ready for the nap, we will go for a walk. Our first nature walk. :)
Pray for me this week. PLEASE! Pray that we find our groove and that I do not put too much pressure or expectation on my "perfectionist" self. Please pray that I can have order, yet go with the flow. I'm a newbie and a little scared. AND pray I can sleep tonight!!!!! Tomorrow morning I am waking up by an alarm because I am convinced I need some time alone to pray and prepare for the day. Needless to say, my time checking emails or time I spend blogging will probably change QUITE a bit! So friends who email me, give me time. I will respond when I can! :) Oh and the phone will be turned off while we are doing school.
Yes, I will have 1st day of school pictures!
School is in!!!!
