athletes should stop retiring or call it something else? Like, "taking a break and we'll see". Most of them don't mean it when they say it anyway. So don't say it! What is it they can't say goodbye to? I have a few theories of my own. Michael Jordan came back twice. Brett Farve is back and now apparently Lance Armstrong is coming back! It's not confirmed but I hope it's true. I would love to see Lance ride again! I've hoped and prayed for Troy Aikman to come out of retirement for years but I think all the concussions to his pretty little head made him retire for real. :)
These press conferences for athletes retiring has become a joke!

That is why James didn't get a party when he retired from UP -- EVERYONE knew he was just going to take a month off and then start another job.
I think if they say they are retiring then they should do that. Otherwise, just say "taking a break".
I am a little worried about Lance -- I think he is doing it just for the drug allegations. He's not my favorite. I like Sheryl Crow.
