Josiah voting for President

School was a blast today! We had our regular lessons and an awesome lesson centered around the election. We've been talking about it for weeks and today was the day he got to vote. I did not expect him to say, "How will my vote get to the poll to be counted for?"! He realized this was not for real after I explained that you had to be 18 years of age to vote. But he was still very excited and took it very seriously!!

His ballot only had Presidents/Vice Presidents listed for candidates. And since he can read, he instantly said "Mommy, I don't need Barack Obama's name on here. You know I am voting for McCain and Palin!" LOVE THAT BOY!!! He has a friend here this afternoon and he said, "Dylan, who did you vote for for President?" Dylan just looked at him funny so Josiah followed up with, "Well, what sign do you have in your yard? McCain or Obama? I hope McCain!" LOVE THAT BOY!!!

I've been trying to explain that there is a huge possibility McCain will not win the election and that we will be praying for Obama no matter how much we disagree with him. God is still in control no matter who wins. Last night when we prayed, Josiah said "Dear Jesus, we pray for Obama and McCain but we pray John McCain wins." LOVE THAT BOY!

Right before we finished school, Josiah asked if Obama would be President two terms if he won. The only thing I new to say was, "I hope not son, I hope not."

It's in God's hands but I pray McCain will win! The Bible clearly tells us how to vote and I am confident that McCain is the RIGHTEOUS man we need! Gay marriage, abortion, taxes, the list goes on and on and on and Obama's slide into socialism is the most frightening thing for our country. It's time for Christ followers to wake up and look at what is at stake!!!

Awesome! We voted today too and last night Gillian prayed that Obama wouldn't win, but if he did that he would listen to God and do what God told him to do. Can't hope for more than that.

I welcome anyone who does not agree with me but not anonymously. I boldly share my thoughts on MY blog, you should do the same and not hide your name.

Amen!!
My girls and I had a lengthy discussion about socialism today... praying it doesn't become a factor in their own lives. Praying and watching the polls close.

Great post:-)

It has been an exciting time for us too! We are anxiously awaiting here in VA for the results. I have had my phone ringing for weeks from pollsters because we are a "battleground" state.

Taking my crew with me today to vote and talking through the process as well as the time we spend praying about it at home has been such a blessings!

I love your voting box ;)
