One Day You Will

Music for me is healing. I love listening to all sorts of music because if you listen closely, you will hear a song that tells your story. The type of song I am referring to is the one you hear while driving down the road and it sends chills up your spine for one reason. It tells your story.

Often I hear songs that remind me of someone else and the struggle or joy they might be in the midst of. Just last week I heard a song by Lady Antebellum (one of my favorite Country bands) and wrote it down so I could call my friend and tell her to listen to it. I knew it would speak life to her and remind her she is not the only one who has ever felt confused on who they were meant to be. This song stayed with me all week long. It never left my head. Now I know why.

A few days ago I had one of those days where I questioned some things about myself and those around me. And then suddenly I remembered I had a song on my iPod that could speak for me. That is what I love about music! Sometimes when we don't have words to express the groaning in our hearts, we have music. In this particular song, the first verse explained my EXACT thoughts I had journaled. It's in those moments that music will bring the validation you didn't know existed.

This speaks for me and I have a feeling it will speak for some of you. I pray it is something you needed. I know I did and still do.

Thank you Lord for the gift of MUSIC.

That song is powerful. I have their CD and I listen to it all the time. Their new one is either out or coming out.

This song is YOU. I sent Vicki a text and told her to listen to it or at least get the lyrics from google.

Thanks for always encouraging me.

I agree Amanda. I love music for the same reason. It is one of the reasons that I have always loved the music you put on your blog.
