Well, the Doctor has put me on light duty. I did not go into details yesterday because I was still kind of processing but I have a "condition". A condition called Prolapsed Cervix. It is VERY rare in pregnant women but caused by multiple births and activity. Remember my story of the Austin Marathon and peeing all over myself? Well, there was a reason for that.
I won't go into the details of how I knew something was not right but the good thing is BABY IS FINE, I am fine and my Doctor is monitoring me closely. He is not worried but my cervix will have to be watched closely towards end of pregnancy because pre-term labor is a risk for me. This is all CRAZY for me because all three of my other pregnancies were perfect and normal. I have delivered three large to middle size babies, all between 37 and 38 weeks but that is considered still full term.
Because this is rare in pregnant women or as my doctor said "unusual", he has a call in to a Gyno/Urologist to discuss possibility of inserting a Pessary. But my Doctor also talked with another OBGYN friend of his who had a patient like me and as the baby grew more and into the abdomen, she did not need the pessary and all was fine. If you know me, you know I have googled every possible thing regarding "Prolapsed Cervix" and have asked my Doctor a million questions (at least). I am not upset anymore. I found peace! Thank you to my friend Kim who helped me get there. Thank you Lord for nation wide calling on mobile phone plans because the Lord has greatly used her to bring me truth and wisdom.
So yesterday these were my instructions.
Rest
Let Jeremy grocery shop
No exercise (ha! like I have been doing that anyway! 3 kids count as exercise!)
Don't do much house cleaning
Don't be on your feet a lot
Stay off your feet more than normal
Don't run any marathons! (Yes, he actually said this!)
There is really no point in telling you what all I do around this house because if you are a Mom, you already know. And if you know me well and if you have read this blog for any length of time you may have guessed that I am a total control freak. Things that are out of my control really bring me stress. Wouldn't you know the Lord has me right where he wants me! Instructions like the ones I have listen above, given to a hyper, on the go woman like myself is just insane to me. It is so insane to me that all I can do is smile. I am in God's hands. I guess I will be reading lots of books and watching lots of movies and hopefully mastering my knitting (please someone teach me)!
Just a little while ago I received a text from my precious friend in Tennessee, Paula. Paula has a special needs two year old, a five year old and is almost twenty weeks pregnant with identical twin girls. This is what the text said. "Lunch will be at your house around noon." Already God is showing me that it will all be okay and He will provide the care I need. I amazed that with all she has going on in her own life, she feels called to serve me. I love you Paula!!
So a couple of prayer requests. My Doctor thinks this will get better. Pray it does or that the Lord, Jesus Christ heals my body! Also, please pray for my sweet Jeremy. He is busy all day trying to run a company and coming home to me who needs lots of help has to be very overwhelming. I am NOT on bed rest but just the fact that Jeremy has to do grocery shopping sends me over the edge because that is my gig! Although he will spend less money than me for sure so that is a good thing! He may not get all the brands I buy but we will survive. Thank you Kim for reminding me that whether it's TIDE with Downy or CHEER, the clothes will still get clean! And of course, please, please, please pray for my babies! All four of them!
God is so big and this has not caught Him off guard, He knew I would be in this place and HE will take care of all of us. The Captain of the ship may be on light duty and need help from the rest of the crew members but God will steer the ship perfectly.
This scripture brings me so much comfort today!
Romans 8:26-28 The Message
26-28Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

Oh so much to be thankful for! These days seem long but the years are short and they pass so quickly. It never does seem like the trials have gone and then we look back in awe at all the Lord has done!
I hope today is full of joy from Him ... Rest up momma! Keeping you in my prayers!
Praying for you!!! I wish I were next door to ya right now!
Makes me think of Psalm 139:
1 O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you...
Keeping you and your sweet fam in my prayers and wishing I could be there to help you in someway!!
Praying, Amanda!

Eph. 3:20-31 Now to him who is able to do far more ABUNDANTLY beyond what we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
