Homeschool JOY!!!

It's been a quiet week around here as I have prayed and prayed and researched and researched and talked with Kim and Wendy about Curriculum for 2010-2011.  My pregnant body is actually sore from sitting at the desk for HOURS upon HOURS looking at pdf. files on every Homeschool curriculum site known to man! I decided against the conference based on how I have been feeling. Yes, I know I am only 20 weeks but my body feels like I am 30 weeks. My rib cage hurts bad and my back hurts worse and my feet are on a whole 'notha level with pain.  When a trip to the grocery store makes me feel completely worn out, then a day at a Book Fair/Convention would not be prudent.  Of course Paula, pregnant with twins, went to her convention and I don't hear her complaining!

Okay, so are you ready for this?? My Homeschool curriculum choices are COMPLETE and the ordering has begun!!! Currently I am in a bidding war on ebay with our Math for Josiah but I have been winning for the past hour! Kim and Wendy are both doing the same Math but they have already purchased so I know they are not the ones trying to outbid me! :)  I know that I use lots of exclamation marks when I write and if you spoke to me in person, you would see that I am a living exclamation mark! Everything I say has passion and excitement! So I am gushing and bursting and praising about Homeschool for next year! I can't believe I am going to say this but I am ready for Summer to be over! I can't wait to start. As of now I am not planning on starting until the day after Labor Day but at this rate, I may not be able to hold off due to my excitement.  Plus with baby Jude coming at the beginning of November, wouldn't hurt to start in August. We shall see!!

This week has been FULL of blessings!  I am so excited about what the Lord is doing in my life! And when you email your final and complete list for the Homeschooling year to your mentor/curriculum expert/mother of five/fellow Texan/fellow living exclamation mark/Kim and she raves at all of your choices, then you KNOW your prayers have been answered! I started crying when I read her email telling me that she was proud of my choices and Jeremy said "What is wrong with you?".  When I explained that I was so happy, he rolled his eyes and smiled.  He knows he's living with a nut. You don't have to tell him. :)

And thank you Wendy for talking on the phone with me yesterday and helping me through all of my questions!   You helped me soooooooooooo much!  Because of you, I felt refreshed and excited about the new year!!

I will share all of my curriculum choices soon but my back is aching and I gotta get off this computer before I scream!! Josiah has been earning an allowance for rubbing my back! Is that wrong? I don't care to ponder because I need all the back rubs I can get and he is that good!

(p.s. wait until you hear about all my new maternity clothes! another amazing blessing I will share Monday!)

It is infectious! Your excitement over homeschooling is what this whole process should be about! So glad to know that you are content with what you have chosen and even moreover excited!

And you hit the nail on the head! I am most certainly an exclamation point!

Except for the days when I am trying to decide about curriculum ... and then I am an endless string of ????????

;)

I am looking forward to an awesome school year and sharing the great nuggets of wisdom and creativity with one another! Blessings!
